Code Like A Girl has partnered with Red Maple Forge to bring you handcrafted one of a kind keychain pendants!

Code Like A Girl pendant keychain being made at Red Maple Forge

I recently received a call from my old friend Kevin Chainey, a past coworker of mine from my BlackBerry days. He started blacksmithing in 2007 and in 2008 opened Red Maple Forge. Over the last few years his business has grown and he wanted to do something to give back. Having spent many years in tech he saw first hand how few women there were in the industry and has always been a huge supporter of Code Like A Girl.

After catching up with each other we started to think about how Code Like A Girl and Red Maple Forge could work together. The result was a handcrafted keychain made by Kevin for which a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Code Like A Girl.

I was really excited to receive the prototype pendant in the mail this week! I loved it and gave Kevin the go ahead to start making more pendants!

I am excited to announce that they are now available on the Red Maple Forge Etsy page. Ten dollars from every purchase goes to Code Like A Girl.
