So, unless you were living under a rock today, I’m sure you’re aware of the Optus outage. However, if you haven’t, rest assured the networks are slowly coming back online, as there was a nationwide outage; I mean, talk about a stressful day for all the engineers! It wasn’t just soul individuals impacted, though. Banks, hospitals, and various other businesses were caught in the fold (yesh).
But this incident got me thinking about how intertwined we are with technology and its role in our everyday lives. Whether for work or keeping in touch with the ones important to us, we use this technology daily. The Optus outage is a stark reminder of just how deeply integrated technology has become in our lives. This incident highlights the potential pitfalls and consequences when these networks experience disruptions.
